To help international students better understand Taiwan’s high-tech industry and career opportunities after graduation, the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at National Taipei University of Technology held the Career Sharing for International Students in Taiwan on October 14, 2026, in collaboration with FAVITE Inc.
The event opened with remarks from the Dean of the College of EECS, who encouraged international students to make good use of the professional knowledge and cross-cultural experience gained during their studies in Taiwan and to actively explore future career opportunities.
The first session, “Reshaping the High-Tech Future: The Yield Revolution and Trends in AI-Driven Optical Inspection,” was delivered by Joseph Huang, Sales Director of Sales Department III at FAVITE Inc. He introduced the applications of AI in smart displays and optical inspection, as well as how intelligent inspection technologies can improve yield and reduce defects in Micro LED and next-generation display manufacturing.
The second session, “Stay or Go Home? The Real Math of Working in Taiwan,” was presented by Issac Chen, R&D Engineer of Software Department I at FAVITE Inc. Drawing on his own experience as an international graduate working in Taiwan’s technology industry, he shared practical considerations related to employment, living, and career development in Taiwan, as well as ways to transform academic strengths and logical thinking into professional advantages.
FAVITE also introduced current recruitment opportunities, including positions for AI Algorithm Engineers, FAE Engineers, Automation Control Engineers, Optical Engineers, and Sales Specialists, with candidates holding a master’s degree or above preferred.
A total of 97 international students participated in the event, representing fields including electrical engineering and computer science, semiconductors, photonics, management, design, and mechanical engineering. Among them, 69 international students (71.1%) were from EECS- and semiconductor-related fields, forming the largest participant group. The event also attracted students from the College of Management and exchange students, reflecting strong interest among international students in Taiwan’s high-tech industry, employment opportunities, and interdisciplinary career development.
Through the event, students gained a better understanding of Taiwan’s high-tech industry, corporate talent needs, and career opportunities. They also gained practical insights into working and developing a long-term career in Taiwan, while strengthening connections between international students and industry.
